At this petite France restaurant in Soi Suan Phlu, their chef prepares impeccable Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with Basque and Provencal influences. Some of the most interesting dishes on the menu are Basque mussels (simmered in chili and garlic sauce and served with grilled potatoes), pumpkin risotto, Daube Provençal (red wine beef stew) and confit salmon (salmon fillet slow-cooked in olive oil and citrus bath served with roasted seeds, cauliflower emulsion). Also don't miss Bistrot du Sud's high-class treats like homemade profiterole stuffed with vanilla ice cream and topped with 72% Belgium chocolate. Spoiler alert: you can get a very good deal for their set lunch. In the same price range, we believe it is nearly impossible to find a match for their cooking skills and beautiful presentation.
