Where to begin? Very disappointed sums it up. The theme was Japanese Cuisine but they misrepresented what Japanese dishes are supposed to be and that is fresh with choice ingredients, yummy cooking and great presentation. Why? Let me detail: Sushi Bar: two types only and that is kani and CANNED tuna, a first in a maki for me Okonomiyaki: the batter i suspect is more cornstarch NOT the okomiyaki batter and it was so burnt at the bottom there was the residue from the pan in abundance Japanese Entree’s: watery chahan (fried rice), not krispy Karaage, yakisoba that lacked veggies without yakitori sticks, any beef dish or tonkatsu dish. Only the tempura was ok but its dipping sauce was definitely not traditional. Ramen: no depth of flavor, actually no flavor at all in the broth. You have to put a ton of condiments to get a semblance of taste Dessert: this was the most confusing clincher, shaved matcha ice that you topped with Pinoy halo halo ingredients like langka, nata, kaong and macapuno. If they were going for an Asian fusion it DID NOT WORK. I just didn’t give it a 1 star because the staff were friendly and attentive but too bad we couldn’t tell them their food was excellent. Sorry not coming back and not recommending.
