The food was good, but the service left a lot to be desired due to poor communication of the servers. Upon arrival, we informed the waitress that we had a reservation through Eatigo, and she seated us. She came back later to ask for the reservation code. Then, another waitress took our order for the Zensai platter and Yaki Udon but didn’t mention that the platter wasn’t eligible for the discount. We were shocked when we saw the bill. What made matters worse was the payment issue. The same waitress told us they didn’t accept payments via QR code, claiming it didn’t work. This was confusing, as we had always paid through QR code at other restaurants using the same terminal the Hashi is using. Since we didn’t have our ATM cards, they suggested we do a bank transfer instead. After thinking it was all settled, 30 minutes later, they called to ask if the payment had gone through. The waitress had entered her bank details on my phone and showed her the receipt of the transaction, but there was still a lot of back-and-forth calling to confirm. The payment was confirmed before we even left the resto, and they apologized. The whole situation left us feeling frustrated and dissatisfied, especially since the payment confusion could have been avoided. It felt like we were going back and forth just to resolve an issue that should’ve been handled smoothly. While the food was good, the lack of transparency and disorganization with both the reservation and payment process overshadowed the experience. It was a disappointing end to what should have been a simple and enjoyable meal.
