The lobby is grand, spacious, well maintained and luxurious. All of the staffs are polite and attentive. The following critisms/suggestions are based on the expectations of a "5 star hotel" and mainly focus towards the general policy and procedures, and by all means all the staffs are hardworking, in fact i think the staffs are overwhelmed, could use more staffing actually for the amount of guests. However upon going into this specific restaurant, it feels a bit off, as if it does not fit in with the rest of the lobby expectations, the breakfast spread and the environment certainly does not feel that way. The seating is a bit crowded, the walking path at certain areas feels unnatural, its understandable that today is a full house and the arrangements are at it's best, but i feel like maybe it could learn from other hotels, perhaps its time to find a way to expand the dining area somehow. The cutlery size is big, but the napkins provided are so small its not even the standard luncheon or dinner size napkins which feels quite off, its usually the finer details that bothers me. Like on one hand they have custom packing for sugar packets with their hotel logo on it but then some other items felt like it does not fit in with the standard (giving the feeling like certain equipments are bought on a last minute basis). Now let's talk about the food options, the normal price for breakfast for adult is RM70+, which sets a high expectations. What the options provided by Kopi Haus feels quite cheap on some items while some items are up to expectations, which is a bummer. Overall I think the standards are only equivalent to Citidel hotel @ Mid Valley which the breakfast price is RM48 at that location which is way better. For RM70, i will be comparing this against Courtyard by Marriott @ KL south (which is RM68+ a person, 5 star hotel standard). So the pricing is an issue based on the options and quality. Overall i would say more than 60% (pancakes, roti, pastries, eggs, fruits, cheese, cereals etc...) of the items are only 2-3 star hotel standards, while 30% (ham and cheese toast, coffee, muesli/yoghurt) of the items are 4 star standards and only 10% (e.g. mini scones, fish main entree) of the items are of 5 star hotel quality. Which is quite inconsistent. And even that, for example they only provide 2 fruit options and 2 basic cereal options, which felt like they're trying to squeeze a little bit of everything just to comply with the bare minimum for "5 star" title or something. Which unironically some 3 star hotels have at least 3 fruit options even. They really gone cheap with things like sausages, cheese, pastries and fruits etc... which is a disappointment. Normally you expect decent options of decent quality for such establishment but instead these things felt like economical. However there are some unique and interesting things that is worth praising, there are scones, spinach tarts, fish main entree which a lot of effort is put into those, and couple of main entrees are delicious, and they do try to cater towards a more localized pallet so there are unique items like custom thosai starion, yong dao fu and so on. Plus the coffee machines are of latest model, and they fine tuned the taste to be more intense which suits the local guests more. however only 2 coffee machines serving a dull house guest which i think they could add another machine or two. Overall, the quality and consistency is hit or miss, hence i don't think its worthy for a 5 star especially for the price, the breakfast experience feels more of a 3-4 star hotel standard. Parking is a mess and its integrated with rest of the Sunway Putra mall, 2+hr parking cost RM6+ Apologies for going so harsh on sunway but this is just my honest opinion on the establishment, hopefully management might find valuable input from this feedback and find a way to improve the experience based on the limited budget they have. I thank all the staffs for such a pleasent experience~

We went for the 50% off deal at 3.30pm for the Sunday afternoon high tea. It was a late lunch for us. A wide selection of dishes were still available. A couple of the selections were unavailable or dried up, but they weren’t ones I would’ve eaten anyway. The desserts were delicious and there was no extra charge for the drinks of cordial and coffee. Great value, highly recommended.

It's like a buffet, just for Indians. There's nothing to eat and the food isn't fresh. The kinds of fruits are poor, so everyone who went with me was disappointed...
