Description
Singapore's Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice has come to Hong Kong. The signature tender chicken and well-seasoned chicken rice appeals to both local citizens and tourists. Besides Tian Tian, there're 3 Michelin-approved Singaporean eateries: Lao Jie Fang Beef Brisket Noodle. A Noodle Story and 1950s Coffee and Toast.
Recommend Menu
Tian Tian Roasted Chicken (Large Portion)
This roasted chicken features lean meat with little fat. The skin is perfectly roasted to a crispy texture, while the meat remains tender and smooth.
When enjoying Hainanese chicken, chicken oil rice is a must. We ordered a bowl of chicken rice, which was generously portioned. The golden rice grains were fragrant with the rich aroma of chicken oil, pairing perfectly with the chicken for an incredibly delicious combination.
Additionally, the dish comes with four different sauces: chicken broth sauce, minced chicken sauce, spicy sauce, and soy sauce. Each sauce has its own unique flavor, allowing for a variety of taste experiences. Every bite paired with these sauces is so flavorful that it’s hard to stop eating!
Pork Bak Kut Teh Mini Hotpot
This dish is similar to Malaysian-style Bak Kut Teh, focusing on herbal flavors rather than peppery notes. The pot includes spare ribs, pork stomach, tofu skin, shiitake mushrooms, eggs, as well as bean sprouts and vermicelli, which can be cooked in the broth like a hotpot. After finishing the broth, free refills are available, making it a great value!
Singapore Original Tofu Pudding
This tofu pudding resembles a soy milk custard, distinct from the typical Hong Kong-style tofu pudding. It has a smoother texture and a unique flavor.
Fried Herbal Jelly with Coconut Milk
This dessert is quite special. The fried herbal jelly has a slightly chewy texture with a bittersweet and subtly sweet flavor. It’s definitely worth a try.
Other Recommended Dishes and Restaurant Ambiance
This branch feels more comfortable than the Sha Tin location, making it an ideal spot for gatherings with friends.
Pandan Sauce Coconut Cod Fish has a subtle pandan aroma. The cod is fried to a golden crisp, with a crunchy exterior and tender, flaky fish inside. Pairing it with salad dressing adds even more flavor.
Rosemary Flaming Char Siu is highly recommended. The staff torches the char siu tableside, caramelizing the honey glaze for a more aromatic and sweet flavor. The char siu itself has a layered texture, with a perfect balance of fatty and lean meat, making every bite incredibly satisfying.
Xiao Long Bao has a unique twist where the vinegar is served in a small tube inserted into the top of the dumpling. Diners can inject the amount of vinegar they prefer. The dumplings are juicy and packed with flavorful filling, making them absolutely delicious.
We concluded the meal with Milo Tofu Pudding as dessert. The tofu pudding was topped with a generous layer of Milo powder. The light and refreshing tofu pudding paired with the sweet Milo created an unexpectedly delightful flavor combination.
The restaurant offers many other dishes worth trying. I look forward to coming back to explore more next time!
