Of course “somtum” or papaya salad is the name of the game at Somtum House Yokkrok. This place has been serving “No MSG” somtum to its customers for over 14 years now. But that isn’t the best part as the strong selling point that draws a lot of fans into this house are its unorthodox menu. Apart from having many authentic versions of papaya salads, the restaurant also comes up with a wide variety of fusion somtum dishes that are made from different kinds of almost unimaginable ingredients. Must-tries include somtum lod (spring roll-like somtum wraps), kuai tiao somtum (somtum noodles with soup and Northern-style sausage balls), and somtum thod (deep-fried somtum with deep-fried shrimps and calamari).
