Recommended Dishes Mirin-Dried Fish Similar to dried fugu (pufferfish), this dish had a pleasant natural sweetness from the mirin. The flavors were well-balanced, and dipping it in salad dressing enhanced the taste. Aichi Prefecture White Geoduck Sashimi This geoduck from Aichi Prefecture had a remarkable chewiness. It was so fresh that it didn’t even need soy sauce to enhance its flavor. Japanese Ichiyaboshi Kinmedai (Dried Golden Eye Snapper) A rare find in Japanese restaurants, this dried snapper was pan-fried to perfection, resulting in crispy skin and tender flesh. A dash of vinegar added a refreshing sweet-sour contrast, making it even more appetizing. Grilled Skewers (5 Types, 2 Each) The restaurant specializes in yakitori , with the following selections: House-made Tsukune (Chicken Meatball) with Egg Yolk Sauce Grilled White Eel Thick-Cut Beef Tongue Ichiyaboshi Chicken Wings Asparagus Wrapped in Pork House-made Tsukune (Chicken Meatball) with Egg Yolk Sauce The texture was fantastic, with bits of cartilage adding a satisfying crunch. Dipping it in the rich egg yolk sauce made it even more flavorful. Thick-Cut Beef Tongue A signature dish! Grilled to perfection with an ideal level of char, the beef tongue was incredibly chewy and full of umami flavor. Highly recommended! Ichiyaboshi Chicken Wings Much larger than regular chicken wings, these had an incredibly crispy exterior. The inside was steaming hot, proving that they were served straight off the grill. The chicken meat was succulent and tender. Asparagus Wrapped in Pork Pork-wrapped skewers can sometimes feel greasy, but the fresh, sweet asparagus provided a refreshing balance, cutting through the richness of the pork. Cold Inaniwa Udon with Uni Uni (sea urchin) is always a crowd-pleaser, and this one was exceptionally fresh with no unpleasant aftertaste. Before eating, the staff thoughtfully advised us to mix the quail egg with soy sauce before dipping the cold udon for a true Japanese experience.
