I revisited this place after stopping for over 10 years, mainly because they added foie gras to their menu. Unfortunately, this visit was truly disappointing. We booked the second seating, which starts at 8 PM, and arrived punctually. However, there was an unattended queue at the entrance, and it was confusing to differentiate between the entrance queue and the payment queue. After being seated for just 15 minutes, a crew presented the bill for payment. I handed over my credit card, but about 10 minutes she returned and asked me to go to the counter to make payment immediately—even while I was eating and had food in my mouth. Is that reasonable? I pointed out that I was eating, but she simply said her manager had instructed her to do so. The 8 PM seating only allows for one hour to enjoy the buffet. Why are guests forced to make immediate payment during their meal, while earlier seating guests can settle their bills at the end of their session? As for the food, it was mediocre. The durian pengat was terrible, and the sashimi wasn’t fresh. I ended up with diarrhea the next day, and even my children—who didn’t eat the sashimi—also have diarrhoea. The ice kacang booth was poorly managed; I had to look around for staff to assist. The guest before me received her shaved ice, and then the crew disappeared, ignoring the rest of us still in line. By 9 PM, staff had already started packing away food from the counters. At one point, around 100 plates were stacked up and came crashing down, shocking everyone in the hall. This was a frustrating and unpleasant experience. I will never visit this place again.

Fabulous variety of food offered. But the queue to enter the restaurant was messy. Food on display seemed to be cluttered. Overall value for money.

No worth the value even with huge discount. Never encounter buffet with no sashimi and the selection is limited

That was a very bad experience having buffet lunch at Ellenborough Market Café because they never clearly stated their dining policy. The website mentioned a "2-hour dining limit per seating period." So, we booked at 1:30 pm to have our buffet lunch on a weekday. However, we were only informed 10 minutes before the end of our meal that the restaurant would close at 2:30 pm. We were shocked to hear this bad news while still eating. We were also told that we would only be allowed an additional 10-15 minutes to finish our meal and clear the table. This was the first time we had to rush to finish our food in such a short amount of time. It was a nightmare and a very unpleasant experience for us.
