The Moon Under Water
The Moon Under Water isn’t only an essay about an ideal public house written by the famous writer, George Orwell, but a name of a hidden Russian restaurant in front of Sukhumvit 48 (near BTS Phrakhanong). Though the place is located on the 2nd floor of another restaurant serving Thai food cooked to order, it is an ideal spot for this Russian owner chef. Both the space and menu here are quite compact, but the place is full of life and completely satisfying. And the chef delivers delicious traditional Russian dishes at his best. What else do we need for a perfect restaurant? You should try pelmeni (dumplings stuffed with pork and lamb), vareniki (potato-filled dumplings), and borscht (beet and vegetable soup).
