One of the very authentic contemporary Italian restaurants in the heart of Bangkok (a few meters from BTS Nana), Gaia Culinary Artisans serves up great recipes from an Italian chef who grew up in Sardinia, Italy. Inspired by his grandmother, Chef Nicola always wants to cook for others and now he has selected the best local dishes from his hometown to offer to customers at sensible prices. Tagliolini al granchio (fresh ink pasta with crabmeat, zucchini, and bell pepper), Agnese pizza (made from special dough and Sardinia-imported grey mullet), and cozze alla marinara (Australian mussels cooked in white wine with cherry tomato, garlic, and parsley) are among many of his specialties.

You can taste the care taken with the food and wine list selection. Salads were quite tasty with generous portions (certainly share size). The pastas were delicious, al dente with vibrant sauces. The surprise hit was the chicken parmigiana...crispy, cheesy and highly recommend. You can tell when a restaurant really cares as the finale were a trio of homemade desserts. Who makes their own raspberry jam to top a panacotta?
