Bangkok Seafood Market, an epic journey begins when the denizens of the deep swim hundreds of miles from the ocean to the river, climb up onto your table in the historic town of Bangkok, and end up sacrificed their lives to save ours. The favorite scene for us is set amid the air-con loft with bare concrete floor and large glass walls overlooking the Chao Phraya on the third floor. But the rooftop area where we are allowed to grill our own food while enjoying the panoramic view of the river is also fantastic. Besides live seafood by weight (cooking methods are up to you!), the restaurant offers a selection of a la carte items like seafood Tom Yum (Po Taek), shrimp cakes, and seafood fried noodles as well as seafood buffet and rooftop GIY (grill-it- yourself) sets. Not only the sea creatures are the real-life heroes here, but this whole saga wouldn’t be complete without three special sauces that accompanied them.
