At first glance, Hutong reminds us of an ancient Chinese siheyuan, or Chinese quadrangles. This isn’t a coincidence – the restaurant’s name derives from the old back alleys that are formed by rows of siheyuan found in Northern Chinese cities. The interior boasts a host of intricately carved wood panels and mood-setting Chinese lanterns.
