Soi actually comes from a Thai word – “ซอย”, a term used in Thailand for the word “street”. 55 in Thai is pronounced as “Haa Haa”, which is often a symbol of laughter amongst the Thai. Hence Soi 55 reflects an emphasis by the founders to bring genuine Thai food to Malaysians to enjoy with fun, laughter and happiness. Malaysia being neighbor to Thailand do share similar interest and taste buds when it comes to flavors, thus the journey of bringing Thailand to the neighborhood begins.

i came here utilising eatigo’s promo and double checked with the staff to confirm that the 50% discount applies to all items in the menu to which she responded with a resounding yes to all ala carte except for set meals but turned out drinks were also excluded from the promo but staff didn’t mention that. im not sure if all this food are like this because its 50% or not but i wont be coming again with or without discount.

bangi branch the staff and supervisor were very rude when knew it was through eatigo. force us to split table and took away the lunch set menu rudely. The supervisor whole time show us long face as if unhappy for the extra work or we cant afford.
