Backed with investment by Saga Bank of Japan and a Hong Kong based supplier of Japanese food products, SARA opened as an Izakaya with ingredients directly from Saga Prefecture to promote its “food, tourism and culture” and help revitalize the local region. SARA continuously searches for unique and excellent Japanese local producers, with most of the ingredients used at the restaurant being sourced from Japan. Several times each year, SARA also partners with local governments in Saga to hold events of food culture and tourism to promote the appeal of Saga Prefecture to Hong Kong people.
