Beautiful decor with great service. Was at the entrance and there were 4 people standing there. Was unsure if they were the staff or waiting customers. They saw me and didn’t say anything. I had to ask them if the restaurant is upstairs and I have a reservation. So 1 staff proceeded to tell me to proceed upstairs to the restaurant. I went up and waited, saw some of the same people coming up and guessed that they were the staff. It was a very puzzling situation - left us feeling quite unwelcome right from the start. Things did improve as we had delicious food and amazing plating but generally, I feel the sauces can be improved. It doesn’t make me wanting more of the sauces. Did feedback to the manager as he asked us if we had any feedbacks. He mentioned that it might be due to differing preference in food and culinary style and we might not be used to it. The waitress was very attentive and has provided good service throughout the dinner. However her accent was a little hard to understand and she spoke quite softly which resulted in me not understanding or hearing what she said during her explanation of the dishes.
