Dear Circles Event Manager / Customer Relations Team, I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the service we received during our lunch visit at Circles, Shangri-La Makati on December 7, 2025, for a group of 10 persons. We chose your restaurant because of its reputation for excellent service, but our experience was far from the standard expected at a Shangri-La establishment. Here are the issues we encountered: 1. Extremely Slow Service • We had to follow up three times for our coffee order, which took over 30 minutes to be served. • I even had to raise my concern more firmly before the drinks were finally brought to our table. 2. Lack of Attentive Staff • There was no dedicated waiter attending to our table. • Used plates remained uncleared for long periods, and our water glasses were left empty until we repeatedly asked someone to refill them. 3. Delayed Billing • We requested the bill twice before it was finally provided, causing further inconvenience. 4. Food Station Issues • Even at the dessert station, basic essentials such as plates were unavailable, and staff took time to replenish them. For a hotel and restaurant known for high standards of hospitality, this overall experience was extremely disappointing and inconvenient for our group. We expected a pleasant lunch, but instead encountered inefficiency and a lack of attention that should never happen in a premium establishment. We hope you address these concerns promptly, as this experience does not reflect the level of service Shangri-La is known for. We request a response regarding the actions that will be taken to prevent similar issues in the future. Thank you, and we look forward to your prompt reply.
