Upon dining at the restaurant, the staff touched our plates before asking if we wanted them to be cleared, which felt rushed and unprofessional. We entered using an Eatigo discount of 40%. Shortly afterward, we realized we could get a 50% discount with the AMEX Platinum card. We asked the staff if we could pay with the AMEX card to receive the higher discount. The staff assured us they would inform the counter and apply the AMEX discount. However, when the bill arrived, we were still charged under the Eatigo discount. We raised this with the manager, who explained that while the restaurant can indeed apply the AMEX discount, the transaction had already been processed under Eatigo, and they could not change it unless we canceled the Eatigo reservation. This experience left us feeling unhappy and disappointed with their customer service.

The booking was easily done via the eatigo app with the applicable discount. When I arrived at Ellenborough Market Cafe and showed the confirmation page, I was quickly ushered to a table to enjoy my meal. The bill came with the discount as agreed.
